Damien Gruson
Professor Damien Gruson, Pharm. Biol., Eur. Specialist in Laboratory Medicine, PhD., worked from 2008 as specialist in Laboratory Medicine at Cliniques Universitaires Saint-Luc, an academic hospital in Brussels, Belgium (www.saintluc.be).
He is currently the head of the department of Clinical Biochemistry of the Cliniques Universitaires Saint Luc and member of the research unit on Endocrinology Diabetes and Nutrition of the Catholic University of Louvain (www.uclouvain.be). He has published numerous articles in several international peer-reviewed journals.
He is actually a member of the executive committee of the division on Emerging Technology of the International Federation of Clinical Chemistry and Laboratory Medicine (IFCC, www.ifcc.org). Prof. Gruson is also a member of the working group on cardiac markers of the European Federation of Laboratory Medicine (EFLM, www.eflm.eu).
Pr. D. Gruson is also actively participating to the activities of the European Society of Cardiology (www.escardio.org) as fellow, and of the Belgian Thyroid Club (www.thyroidclub.be), as board member.
