Submitting Abstracts
- Authors are invited to submit abstracts on any of the given themes.
- All abstracts will be reviewed by the members of the Scientific committee.
- Accepted abstracts will be published in the congress programme that will be distributed to all congress participants and in the journal Laboratorijska medicina.
- Each presenting author may submit up to 2 (two) abstracts.
Abstract Layout and Submission Instructions
Please follow instructions on website for abstract submission.
- Abstracts must be submitted electronically through the congress website.
- Abstract title should be short and concise (in both Slovenian and English) and without abbreviations. The first letter should be capitalised, the rest in lower case.
- Author listing:
• Authors' first and last names must be written in full.
• The presenting author must be indicated and must provide their email address.
• For all authors, the institution, department, city and country of employment must be listed (in this order). - Abstract text should be in Slovenian or English, free of spelling and grammatical errors, and must not exceed 250 words. The text should have no line spacing, no paragraphs or indentations. The abstract should not contain figures or tables. Up to three keywords should accompany the abstract.
Abstracts accepted for the 7th Slovenian Congress of Clinical Chemistry and Laboratory Medicine and the 7th Slovenian Congress of Laboratory Medicine Engineers and Technicians will be published in the journal Laboratorijska medicina, which will be distributed to all congress participants.
The lead author may submit a maximum of 2 abstracts.
Abstract Submission Deadline
- The deadline for submitting abstracts is June 7th, 2026.
- Notification of acceptance of abstracts will be sent by June 30th, 2026.
- The organisers will publish only the abstracts submitted by authors, who will settle their registration fee by August 15th, 2026.

Poster Preparation
Instructions for Poster Preparation
Do not send the poster in advance by mail; the presenting (main) author should bring it physically to the conference.
The required poster dimensions are: width 90 cm and height 120 cm (orientation: PORTRAIT). At the top of the poster, include the title, authors’ names, and the institutions where you are employed. All of this should be in bold, with a font size of 2.5 to 3 cm. Images and text should be large enough for the poster to be readable from a distance of 1.5 meters.
Posters will be displayed throughout the entire congress. Poster boards will be numbered. Your poster number will be indicated in the notification of abstract acceptance and in the congress program, which you will receive upon registration.
Poster Viewing
Presenting authors are kindly asked to be available at their posters during the designated poster viewing sessions and coffee breaks to answer questions and engage in discussion.
Informations for speakers
Instructions for Oral presentations
Speaker Ready centre is located in exhibition hall. All presenters must check into the Speaker Ready Centre at least 4 hours prior to their session. Conference staff will make sure that your presentation is downloaded on the computer on lectern. At the end of the conference, all presentations will be deleted so no copyright issues will arise. Please make sure that your computer presentation is fully operational before your talk. Only Power Point or PDF presentations on USB Memory cards will be accepted. Newest version of MS PowerPoint is recommended. Preffered format of presentation in 16:3 (widescreen).
Use of individual laptops or Mac laptops is not allowed.
