Mitja Lainščak

Dr. Mitja Lainscak is Head of the Research and Education Department at General Hospital Celje, and Professor of Internal Medicine, Faculty of Medicine, University of Ljubljana. His clinical and research interest is cardiovascular medicine with particular emphasis on heart failure, pharmacotherapy, and metabolism with body composition. Currently he holds a board member position at the Heart Failure Association of the ESC, and is a Fellow of the HFA and the ESC.
Dr. Lainscak has 141 entries on MEDLINE and over 1,500 citations listed in the ISI index. He is Associate Editor at International Journal of Cardiology (Heart&Lung) and at Journal of Cachexia, Sarcopenia, and Muscle (Metabolism). He has supervised or is supervising 8 doctoral students.
